The problem started with the GHMB when they introduced registration, they also introduced timeouts. I think the timeout was 90 minutes, but if you are writing a large amount of text, then 90 minutes is often not long enough.

You get all that text on the messageboard, it takes say 2 hours to type it, then you post and you suddenly find it is all gone, with no chance of retrival. I know I tried because it happened to me once. So now I type a bit, then copy and save.</HTML>
