They're deleting every message I try to post on GHMB. So this is in answer to your post on SIM. You say it was a wonderous moment (10450) since you could see Sirius on the meridian as well as Canopus nearby. It would indeed have been a wonderous moment if that had happened since Sirius didn't become visible at +30 lat (Giza) until c. 8000 B.C., and Canopus not until c. 1350 B.C.. ?????
