Do you maintain that the blocks were packed like mud bricks? If so, why would they be so huge? I mean, maybe I'm missing something (you've provided an awful lot of reading material here, Ms. Morris, and I'll admit that I'm skimming a lot), but if they packed the blocks into place, wouldn't it have been easier to work with smaller sized blocks?
