Hi Dave,
Any idea what the deviation of magnetic north from true north was for Giza in 1910?
The azimuth of Khafra's causeway was measured on the 1st of March 1910 by Hölscher, and found to be 106.333 degs - 16.333 degs south of due east, but apparentely, this was relative to magnetic north, not true north.
The east / west axis of the Valley Temple was found to be 4 degs south of due east, but again, relative to magnetic north, not true north. This means that the Sphinx is also oriented about 4 degs south of due east.
It would be interesting to know what the actual azimuths are, relative to true north.
