People may know that I have several articles on my web site on the Bat Creek Stone. There is a new article by the authors of two of the articles I have in the current issue of American Antiquity, (Vol. 69, Nol. 4, October 2004) debunking the Bat Creek Stone.

The Bat Creek Stone Revisited: a Fraud Exposed, by Robert C. Mainfort, Jr.
and Mary L. Kwas, pp. 761-770.

The thrust of this is that the inscription was copied from one in a Freemasonry book that was available in Emmert's time.

I haven't seen the article myself but an American archaeologist kindly informed me of this today.
