<HTML>I'm way out of my depth here.
But isn't it possible that everyone tries to read too much into some of these features? Perhaps the alignment of The Great Pyramid was the AE's "best effort" that they never quite equaled again. But we seem to take that accuracy as the evidence that all other monuments have to be judged by that standard, ie the deviation from North of the other Pyramids is interpreted as possible evidence of precession etc even though the "sample" for the data is so small. Perhaps the other Pyramids are as well aligned as the builders at the time thought worth bothering about. Do we know how accurate they were trying to be? And why if we don't know what the Air Shafts etc are actually for should the angle necessarily be critical. Perhaps (that word again sorry) if they are "symbolic" they are just an convenient angle for the builders. So many people seems to be able to come up with different star alignments to fit there own particular ideas and dates of construction that I get the feeling that you can find almost as many as there are stars.
As I said I'm out of my depth here so if I'm rubbishing anyone's long cherished theory please accept my apologies. (A little learning is a dangerous thing). Also thanks to those who have replied to my original question.
