the short answer is Bauval has it wrong. He credits the Egyptians with modern astronomical interests and abilities which they do not appear to have had.

A longer answer depends on how you define tombs. There are definitely monuments to astrologers and there was awareness of the planets and the cycles. If you are interested, there are scholarly books and papers on this topic that you can pursue.</HTML>
