I'm waiting to smile about Calico and Valsequillo.

The sache are NOT dirt paths. They are standard width and paved with white gravel. They STILL exist compared to our own paved macadam high maintenance roads. Why the effort for walking? The Inca roads were not like the sache.

Interesting to note I saw and swam with a real live breathing human specimen that was covered from head to toe in long body hair. That was at the split rock resort in the poconos.

The obvious question is what was this expedition for? Expeditions of this size cost a lot of money. A claimed territory for what? Just recently automatic weather stations were discovered in NA. If there was a what for even more pressing was whether it was ever used. It should be noted that in 1947 a military expedition was led into the anartic. It wasn't for scientific purposes.

I did receive a reply from Dr. Waters and he said the notes would be published next year. We will see.

The story of Valsequillo is NOT insignificant. Williams notes would expand the picture of the site findings. She thought at least 20k because at that point NO one had challenged the clovis model. Even today that date would be controversial. It has been 54 years since the original dig. I'm well aware that most would like this site out of sight and mind. That seems to be Waters as well.

It is who is allowed to see this. Not you or I.I have no idea whether this mural exists. I only know I was told about it by a registered federal tour guide. For what purpose? Or maybe just to entertain the gringo. There have been rumors since the thirties about such a mural being seen by archaeologists. Maybe it is the fringe. I am reminded tat the sagas about a site in NA were considered

Nicely put. I still wonder WHY Plato included an atlantic ocean and his claim that it was navigable. Navigable assumes an ability to transverse fro point a to point b. NOT dipping your toe in it q mile away from the coast.

The discussion of the vikings by the guide indicated his training included a visit to mural somwehere in chichen itza. This was a governmental secured site. Why they secured it is for them to know. Is this guide blowing smoke to make me happy? Don't know I did NOT initiate the conversation. His comments were volunteered.

Interesting that my tour guide at cozumel mentioned that before he recived a federal license he was taken to a secret chamber at chichen itza and showed a mural of a viking being sacrificed.

Well a small problem. Mentioning the atlantic (what does that have to do with a philosophical parable?) is a concrete place. And how would he know of it? It's a long way from Greece. In addition he indicates that the Atlantic is navigable. That is also a concrete activity. Lots of bodies of water much closer to Greece if one is including such in a philosophical tale. He also mentions t

Time to stir things up.. The story of Atlantis by Plato. The claim is that it is a philosophical treatise. In the story Plato describes a specific concrete description. The description is that of the Atlantic Ocean. Just HOW did he know of that? He also said that in that time it was navigable. He also described an area of mud in the middle of it. The Sargasso sea? None of these descript

I take Plato's words at face value. No hidden agenda or parable. I rather suspect with Plato's status if he wanted to describe the ideal society he would have just done so.

Nicely state Roxana. You believe that Plato made all of this up as a philosophical parable. Each human being can believe ANYTHING they want. Anything. That belief counts for NOTHING. Where is your PROOF of the proposed belief that Plato created this concoction as a parable?
