But for a coincidence it has worked far more reliably than our hi technology over the millenia. And it does not take a specialist to see the illusion.by donald r raab - Ancient History
Point taken. But this is one of the ONLY times artifacts claimed to be artificial buy the investigator look the SAME to the untrained eye. When he claims anchors with holes in them I don't have to stretch my imagination to see what he sees. Numerous stomes with circular holes may occur in nature but that is far less likely than the other possibility. Maybe Paul will comment as he is aby donald r raab - Ancient History
And how many fall into historical times? If there is an aversion to historical impacts by conventional archaeology because of creationism it also exists because of an even larger aversion of the thesis of Velilovsky. Before Shoemaker-Levy it was assumed as established truth that there were NO impacts possible or otherwise in the present. That obviously has to be re-visited. As for Tunguby donald r raab - Ancient History
Very likely. And he certainly doesn't like conventional archaeology. That being said he has photos and video that seem to uphold what he claims he found or explored. I don't need to say that the pictures in situe are far better than GH's efforts off the coast of India. They are also better than what has been published to this point by Zelitsky at the Mega site. <As these abstracts show, the fact of matter, at this point in time, although not true in the past, the conventional (orthodox) approach does allow for catastrophes in in pre-historic or historical times.> My point as stated. Better late than never. But they ALWAYS have to be dragged kicking an screaming to the reality that is.by donald r raab - Ancient History
The problem for the orthodox has been that catastrophe is intimately linked to Creationism and others like it. It is difficult to admit the possibility they may have something without giving currency to the whole picture. Hence the lock box keeping catastrophe out. To me catastrophe of any type is part of the larger picture of the historical story. Your posts above highlight that. Catastroby donald r raab - Ancient History
You are right. I was responding to Doug. I'm also trying to point out that a REAL anamoly (physics and charts included) is a REAL paradigm shifter. Better than any GH lost civilization. This will change ALL of the interpetations and data for archaeology in the new world. It opens even stronger the possibility for early entry into South America. It makes inconsequential the arguments ofby donald r raab - Ancient History
Jon, It is obvious that the steady state world of the orthodox has gotten banged around a little bit. Only since Shoemaker -Levy has the paradigm shifted and the orthodox admitted a little light to the possibility of historical catastrophe. They do so only reluctantly still. The thesis of the paper is saying that the dating CLOCK has been reset by this nuclear anamoly. Specifically for Nby donald r raab - Ancient History
How many catastrophic meteors hit the planet in historical times? How many asteroids hit the planet in historical times How many comets hit the planet in historical times? How many floods caused lost civilizations? Which civilizations were effected?by donald r raab - Ancient History
Not possible. Orthodox approach does NOT allow for catastrophe in pre-historic or historical times. ALL catastrophe has to take place millions of years ago which does NOT influence human development. That is true whether the proposed catastrophe is on this planet or elsewhere in the solar system. The idea that mankind either regionally or world wide was influenced by witnessing or being vicby donald r raab - Ancient History

The significance of this paper is that a CATASTROPHE struck the earth in pre-historical (man) times. That is a first. All the other stuff is supposed to have been millions of years ago. Catastrophe is getting legs.by donald r raab - Ancient History
Katherine, This coastal hugging betrays an agenda. That agenda aludes to these guys were too timid to do the open water thing. All good points and certainly repeated many times in many places in history. And then there is the almost eerie science in the writings. Unlike the new world where book-burning was done with a vengeance we know a tremendous amount about AE from the writings. Except for the most spectacular achievements ever known. I'm sure you are right about the removal of blocks and building materials. As much as man advertizes man also like souveniers and rebuilding new. The essential pyramids and Sphyinx are intact. And the buidings are written about as well as commemorated on the structure as well. These buildings are so unique ans so imposing one would expect more written about them than any other. Katherine, Look around the world. Anywhere. Buildings and object have names. We advertise what we build. And many buildingd are named for individuals. Are we to say the Egyptains are not human with the same human drives. These are the big enchiladas and unique to boot. And NO one wants to be assoviated with them?by donald r raab - Ancient History
This is as obvious as it is long. An object unique (Sphyinx) and recognised as such throughout history and not a word about it (even in legend or mythology)as to who or why it was built. THAT flies in the face of ALL human egotism period and considering the supposed main purpose of the pyramids was funnery the rulers certainly possessed an ego.
