I'm not sure they're talking about the same site, Hermione. The link in the other thread to the "underwater circuit-board" satellite photo says that the find is "unrelated" to the city claimed to have been found in 2001 which this thread's OP references.
Although if it means anything, the two separate sites are remarkably similar in description.

I'm not a regular, but I'll offer my opinion.
First, there is certainly a crevice or cave there; if Hawass said there wasn't, he was mistaken. Obviously he admits this, since he emailed Collins to tell him they were doing some work there.

Hard to tell what exactly he means by "radar satellite imagery"; I expect we'll have to buy the guy's book to find out. In fairness, a few shaky glimpses of a fissure-like structure in the corner of a tomb is a pretty underwhelming introduction to "Egypt's Greatest Secret!"
