Anthony,
Thank you (I think).
The one thing I was trying ever so hard to say was that the ecliptic runs east-west and NOT north south (as Krupp appears to show it). Orion doesn't even run on the eliptic..but its close.
The other point I was trying to make was that Krupp's positioning of Orion is but ONE of MANY different positions it take...depends on the time of day and the time

Warwick et al,
This is how Orion could appear on any ONE given night.
Now...the culmination picture would look slightly different in Oct,Dec,Feb accordingly.

Kat I dont agree with the Oct either.
I also dont agree with Krupps diagram.
It represents only one position the Orion takes in the sky.

Whats is seen in the sky is different for Orion in Nov than it is in March.
Whats so complicated about that?

My point is this (re Krupps dia.).
Orion is not per say on the ecliptic..but advances throught the sky east to west close to the ecliptic. It takes on several differnt positions through the year.
The three belt stars teeter as such.
Zeta down at the bottom as winter begans. All stars are horizontal when winter is half over. And Zeta high in early spring.

It (Orion) appears to travel N/S.

Why wouldnt Krupp show Orions path along the ecliptic (vs N.S.)?
The diagram "seems" to show a NS progression.

Roxana,
The story goes that Jesus and his diciples were on there way to the temple when they encountered a blind man.
"....he spat on the ground and mixed the spittle with dust, making it into mud, and smeared it on the man's eyes. He said to the blind man: "Now, go down to the pool of Siloam and wash."
This, to me, says that Jesus wasnt even at the pool. I can see w

Here is some OT History...of course there is the NT referance re: Jesus.

Question...
In the article it says "There have been no reports of tsunamis being generated from the aftershocks."
Does an earthquake (per say) cause a tsunami?
Or does the earthquake cause some shelf to rise/fall/slide and that causes the tsunami?

These clouds are part of a band that forms near the equator when Mars is near the part of its orbit that is farthest from the Sun. For Opportunity (and Spirit and the rest of the southern hemisphere), this occurs in late fall and early winter. During this period, atmospheric temperatures and the amount of water vapor combine to form large-scale clouds. These clouds look
