That text is quite late, probably after Alexander, and Seth had been vilified for centuries by then. Some of the Late Period texts have garbled information from earlier times.

Ronald,
What you forget or ignore is that plenty of "orthodox" and "mainstream" folks believe plenty of nonsense. Having any sort of degree or "peer" status is not a vaccine against gullibility. Universities have given Ph.Ds for stupid and silly research to people whose ethics are most questionable. Assuming that someone in the "in" crowd must be righ

It's mentioned in the Amduat. Budge's Egyptian Heaven and Hell has some line drawings and Hornung's The Ancient Egyptian Books of the Afterlife has smaller piccies of the same. The MK Book of Two Ways has certain places where portage of the sun's boat occurs, which could also possibly relate to the dragging or pulling.

I can't stand it!! You agree with twice today in two separate threads! The stars must be aligned just right!
It seems to me that some knowledge did survive and there are allusions to it in the literature. Whether there's a "coded" drawing on the wall or whether the wall art might be explainable by earlier architects using the same proportions as later artists, I don

IIRC, he's also been linked with the mongoose because of its snake-killing and his nightly battle with Apophis. He's also been an ox, a hippo, a pig, a donkey, a dog, and a human. He may be the original Heinz 57 Variety.

But that's the whole point of what I've argued with Rick. The Seth animal was probably derived from several real creatures. However, the problem remains in that there does not seem to be any attestation from the Egyptians themselves of an actual animal. All the images of the creature are images of Seth. Finding an animal that may resemble the Seth animal alone doesn't resolve t

He doesn't swallow the sun; he swallows the celestial water in some stories, which strands the sun. Depending on which expert you prefer, the stories of the mystical union of Re and Osiris date to the MK or the OK.

Human activities do not explain the apparent increase in temperature from within the earth. In Antarctica, the glaciers are melting from underneath. And there are other times when the earth warmed without any help from us.

If they were sketches made after the building and had information on the interior, it would suggest there were plans kept for a while. I said years ago that the secret road of Rostau mentioned in the Afterlife books resembles the GP shafts.

Well, the seller says, "a super nice lot of 112 Lincoln cent pennies that have masonic symbols pressed into them. I'm not sure where these come from, but I keep finding them in the proceeds from vending machines."
If they are deformed, I wonder if they register as nickles in vending machines? People used to use slugs all the time in laundries when I was in college, and for a whi

Hi Morph,
I still don't agree with you about Venus. The bit about Venus appearing as a pentagram is not seen on the horizon; it's conceptual. There's no evidence that the Egyptians were keeping track of any Venus cycle, either.

I don't agree, Joe. We have later stories, such as in the Westcar papyrus, that tell of earlier doings concerning Khufu's building. We have plans for things ourselves that we keep in archives. If OK pyramid plans survived for a time, they could appear somewhere else, later on. I would like to see what the plans are and how strong the connection is before deciding anything.
