I can also speak three languages/dialects and read/write in two languages. I've been bilingual for as long as i can remember, and languages also fascinate me, particularly its development throughout history. I currently share a flat with five people, all of whom speak languages/dialects which are largely unintelligible to me. What's interesting is that these languages are closely related to the ones i know, but i've come to realise that linguistic relationships say almost nothing about ethnicity and comprehensibilty.
