Thanks for bearing with me. I'm not attempting to ferret out any 'secrets', and I am certainly not inviting another Rennes or "Talisman" debate.

In the case of this horse whisperers' society I can appreciate that once upon a time this secretiveness protected a set of valuable trade secrets about how to handle horses.

But why does this horse whisperer continue to keep the knowledge secret?

And what is it about us humans-- especially us men-folk-- that attracts us so strongly to participate in secretive societies?
