<< In the first article arising out from our project (hereafter Paper 1) published a couple
of years ago, we raised the question of whether the temples of the ancient Egyptian
civilization were or were not astronomically orientated. Our preliminary results were
not sufficient to demonstrate whether simply local topography, dominated by the Nile,
or astronomy, in the form of lunisolar or stellar alignments, could offer a clear-cut
solution. We now think that the answer to our question must be in the affirmative
beyond reasonable doubt. [
