You should check out the syllabi for many of the university courses in the grand ole USA. Not to mention the nonsense that has been taught in our public schools about Native Americans over the past 50 years.

In my Intro to Anthropology class at Georgia State University the professor was a militant vegan. She was discussing how most of the meat Native Americans ate would have naturally been rotten when they ate it. A member of class pointed out that they likely preserved it and made jerky. The professor responded that that suggested a level of technology that Indians didn't possess. I interjected and said the only "technology" it required was smoke and fire. She became visibly embarrassed and moved the discussion to the next topic.

What was she envisioning???? The plastic wrapped jerky you buy in convenience stores????

Worse still this same professor completely glossed over the mound building cultures in the southeast and put NOT.ONE.PICTURE up in the slideshow showing ANY of these sites. When she mentioned there had been an advanced culture in Alabama (Moundville), one guy who had pretty much been sleeping the whole semester perked up and for the first time became interested enough to ask a question, asking what happened to this place and the professor responded, "oh that was a thousand years ago. it's no longer there."

???????!!!!!!!!!??????????!!!!!!! I nearly went freaking berzerk. I let everyone in the class know that it was indeed still there and I had just visited it a few months before during the Moundville Festival.

The whole reason I took that class was because my master's thesis project was the LostWorlds.org website whose goal was to promote these Native American sites which are totally overlooked in public school education....and here I was in a University Anthropology class and the subject matter was still completely glossed over and misinformation given to students.

So, you don't have to go to Bosnia to find pseudoscience being taught in universities. It's being taught in the USA as well.
