The updated Star Treks have already been shown on TV in the States. I've seen a couple of them and while the new effects don't really add to the story, they are nicely done and help link the old series with the new ones and movies.

My idea for Star Trek XI (if all the actors were available and money no object and the film was four hours long...lol ):
At the end of the 24th Century, Spock is on Romulus, leading the underground movement, when he is contacted by Benjamin Sisko, former commander of Deep Space Nine and now existing in a non-linear temporal state with the wormhole aliens. Sisko tells Spock that a Romulan fact

I don't see an error in the first paragraph. Unless the Beeb have changed it.
To be honest, she seems a bit young to play Amanda Grayson. I wonder if Sarek will feature. perhaps not because he didn't agree with Spock's decision to join Starfleet.
I'm still unsure about this whole 'Academy days' plot. We know that many of the characters are different ages, with

I saw it a while ago (posted about it here ) and I really enjoyed it.
Here's what I said:
"I just watched a film called The Last Legion. It's a low-budget romp set during the fall of the Roman Empire and chucks historical accuracy out of the window. It is also hugely enjoyable.
"The all star cast (Ben Kingsley, Colin Firth, John Hannah, the astonishingly beautiful A

I don't care who the new assistant is, but I wish RTD would step down as a writer for the series, cos the final episodes (written by him) were absolute garbage... :/
'Blink' (written by somebody else) should get a BAFTA nod, in my opinion, because that episode was absolutely incredible.

It has already been remade (sort of... and badly ) in the Galactica 80 episode Galactica Discovers Earth - Part 1.
For the new version, I'm sure I've read somewhere that either Bryan Singer (The Usual Suspects, X-Men, Superman Returns) or Stephen Sommers (Deep Rising, The Mummy, Van Helsing) was going to direct... I think...
Edit:
Sorry, got my classics mixed up... Stephen
