If you go to a school that charges you $20.00 to check out a book, you should find a better school. There are also public libraries, and since you indicated that you are in NY, you'll find one of the largest in the world on 42nd Street.
My point about reading the book is that if you want to discuss it intelligently, you should read it yourself and not rely on others. I would think that

In your career as a grad student, surely you have come across a library? Go get a copy of the OCT to read.
As for what's wrong with asking people who might know the answer for an answer? How will you know if they are right? Why not get the answer straight from horse's mouth?

Why don't you just get the book and read it, if you want to know? Instead, you're going to ask strangers on the Internet to tell you what the book says?

Thank you, but it was a rhetorical question....

How evidence is applied is in the eye of the theorist.

Rick,
I don't think we're speaking the same language at this point. I've repeated myself and tried to clarify for you, but you have nothing responsive.

It's quite clear, Rick. You've just demonstrated that there is no proof of these creatures in the historical record. Thank you for FINALLY admitting it. All you have are images of Seth himself. That's why a lot of Egyptologists think the Seth animal was a composite creature.

Do you guys live in the Twilight Zone or some other place caught in a time warp? I remember going up to Vermont as a child (and I am older than Kat!), and the "penny candy" in the country stores was a nickle... I do remember being able to buy bubble gum for a penny, but I don't remember any machines taking pennies. I think the gumball and small toys thingies machines all took

Yes, that's sort of my point. I've never seen one of these, and I agree with Sue. I don't think even when I was a child, that I've ever seen vending machines take pennies. Penny candy was around before WWII. This seller claims to have found these things in vending machines.

The PT were written after the Gizamids were built. Some of the texts may be older than the date at which they are fist attested, but if that is the case, it argues in favor of linking those texts with the ea

It makes no difference if the evidence is flawed? Alternative theories are also presented with evidence in many cases. My point is theories and ideas should be judged on their merit alone...not by who is doing the theorizing.
