Sighs , yawns , nice tries , etc .
Not really the basis for a discussion is it ?
Self medication is what animals do , why shouldn't we expect the same from Neanderthals ?

If you want to be dismissive you can say the same about the article at the top of the thread , but I notice that you didn't .

I'm assuming that you are the same person who commented on the Lodz article or you have copied their post almost word for word where they said :
"I am reminded of Eisenhower’s order that all of the camps be photographed and documented, so that someone would not come along later and say it never happened."
and then your own :
"I'm reminded of Eisenhower ordering h

If deniers deny the evidence ,and that is what you consider important enough to mention in relation to accounts where they are confronted with the evidence , why didn't you come up with the "Tell that to the deniers " after the first post on this thread ?

All she said was the dismissive content free "Tell that to the holocaust deniers " , in response to my mentioning how important the archaeologists were in providing the evidence .
I then followed up with the evidence to support that assertion .
Then the opprobium started .
Archaeologists were central to bringing the type of evidence that couldn't be denied, to the world

The only one who is making errors is you .
1) you failed to appreciate that there were others who liberated the camps, not just the Americans .
2)Archaeologists provided the incriminating evidence in those cases where there was an attempt to raze the camps prior to liberation .You were unaware of this and could only respond with a dismissive and ignorant comment (it doesn't qualify a

It is obvious that the motifs are there .
What underlying belief ?
How do you know what the most common belief is for that period and area ?
Ever seen the representation of birds on a dolmen before ? I guarantee you haven't .
But arcs are relatively common and so are grooves both alone or together .
Armchair over interpreters can say what they like , they tend to get ig

I never said that you did . I said you " attempted to " .
Of course you didn't diminish the archaeologist's work , how could you you ?
I provided data showing how ignorant the knee jerk data free "tell that to the holocaust deniers ", was .
As ever you had no possible meaningful response , so we get the usual personal one ,but this time getting ev

Only you could could come up with such a gross comment to cover up the fact that you got something wrong . That's the pits, even for you .
Where did you agree with me ?
Who said "tell it to the holocaust deniers ?", when you attempted to diminish the input from archaeology , when you simply didn't know but had to make the usual knee jerk reaction .

There is no shortage of neo -nazis in the west, it is a much broader church than just holocaust denial .
That has nothing to do with the fact that "Archaeologists provided the incriminating evidence in those cases where there was an attempt to raze the camps prior to liberation ."
The links provided showed that the deniers were told by the archaeologists that they had

They have been told .
How do you think one of the most high profile deniers lost his case ?
Tell this to the others who are unaware .

It makes no difference where the engravings are found .

The motifs are arcs with a central groove .
The people who built the monument may well have used textiles but none were discovered at the monument .

Considering how often rock art is found in association with dolmens elsewhere ,and the huge number of dolmens in the Middle East , the lack of prior finds might be due to lack of decent investigation .

If there is one thing that we have learned from aDNA in the old world, it is that there were numerous migrations from east to west in prehistory .In much of Europe the original forager populations were replaced by incomers who in turn were replaced by other incomers .That was the norm .
