"Djoser and Imhotep decided to build an enormous mastaba of stone, but at some point during construction they built another mastaba on top of the first—and then another on top of the second. They continued this process until they had enlarged the structure into the world’s first pyramid. It was what we now call a “step pyramid,” consisting of six terraces some 200 feet (60 m) high.
If this is correct we have a height of approx. 60 x 39.37 or about 2362.20 inches, If we use 200 feet we get 200 x 12 = 2400 inches a difference of over 3 feet (from this website ... [

At Wiki we are told 62 meters or 2440.9 inches and 203 feet or 2436.00 inches.
This gives us in cubits if we allow 20.62 inches per cubit of 118.38 or 118.14
Now this to me seems a strange number of cubits to design a pyramid to. One should think they would have picked an even value such as 115 or 120 cubits. 120 would give us 6 tiers of 20 cubits and match I believe the height of the perimeter wall which is 10.5 meters or 20 cubits ! One could speculate that the height only represents 6 of 7 layers with the apex being the top of the 7th so we could speculate that what the true height was meant to be was (118.38 / 6) x 7 = 138.11 or if we use 118.14 / 6 x 7 to get 137.83 neither of which seem to be a number we can relate to. Using 120 for the six tiers this would give us 140 for the apex and equal nicely one half the height of The Great pyramid !
Has anyone written or speculated on what the significance of the height of The Step Pyramid might relate to ?
