There seems little doubt that the pyramids are "aligned" on many levels with the heavens; "as above so below". What is in a great deal more doubt is the nature and causes of any alignments but I believe much of this can be deduced from existing writing before the apparent change in language as well as writing from after this change. Obviously the specific knowledge of the alignments were known to most or all writers from that era even though so very little survives: Essentially only the Pyramid Texts. But early writers knew far more about the pyramid builders than we do. They not only had access to much of the writing but they were so close to everything that not so much had been forgotten and changed over thousands of years. The ancient writing didn't become a new religion and mistaken for magic overnight or even over many decades; it required centuries for the changes to be complete and everything forgotten. These early writers would have known stars represented real people from history who were associated with leaps in knowledge and various physical phenomenon but without an understanding of their work all this history would fade away. How long would Thomas Edison be remembered if we forgot what a light bulb is? Many mnemonics from Ancient Language would be required to remember how the above tied in with the below. When the science was lost, so too was all human history. Some survived as myth, legend, and superstition, most was lost.
I believe we can regain some of it through deduction using all the ancient writing up through about 600 BC and possibly "all" of it lies under the NE corner of the time capsule/ cenotaph/ etc we call "G1". Where better to store the knowledge and memory of humanity than in a mnemonic? ...an enormous 6 1/2 million ton "X" (marks the spot) perfectly aligned north and south in a desert next to the river of life? It's all so poetic it must be real.
Until we understand the PT we can not understand the pyramid builders. Until we understand the pyramid builders it might be impossible to understand ourselves.
