Certainly Houdin's theory is better than most and could be possible but it is wholly inconsistent with two key pieces of physical evidence. Namely that the pyramid is a stepped structure and more importantly the thermal imaging does not show any internal ramps. If internal ramps existed they'd have to be deep inside and then they'd be useless for the top 250'. It is the top stones that are most difficult because work is defined as weight time height, In practice this must be multiplied by the reciprocal of the efficiency. This and the massive sizes of all the stones implies the same method was used to lift stones from the bottom to the top.
Internal ramps magnify the problems with ramps and merely moves them to a place we don't expect to see them. Inside where they don't show up in thermal imaging turning corners is impossible so they must be circular.
If these ramps existed as were proposed they would necessarily have shown up in the infrared.
