In the autumn of 2013, various accounts emerged about how two German researchers, Görlitz and Erdmann, in search of evidence to support their theory that the Great Pyramid was not the work of King Khufu, had obtained small samples of paint from one of the crewmarks in the relieving chambers. (Despite some confusing statements made at the time , these samples were not taken from the cartouche name of Khufu in Campbell's Chamber). This episode resulted in something of a furore in archaeological circles, with accusation succeeding counter-accusation.

Eight years later, in the autumn of 2021, Patrice Pouillard, former colleague of Jacques Grimault ("Revelation of the Pyramids"), released this film:

BACK TO BUILDERS OF THE ANCIENT MYSTERIES (BAM)

A section starting at about 00:40:00 discusses the crewmarks in Campbell's Chamber, and considers the question of the paint samples taken by Görlitz and Erdmann (described as "archaeologists," which they were not). The narrator states that the pair took samples:

but not in a legal way so the egyptology community rejected the results (00:40:28)

But, as we saw back in 2013 ( [www.maatforum.com] ), tests were never carried out:

Aufgrund der geringen Größe der Proben von maximal vier mal zwei Millimetern sei auch nicht genügend Kohlenstoff vorhanden, um ihr Alter mit der Radiokarbonmethode zu bestimmen. (Die Welt, 21 11 13)

(Google transl: Due to the small size of the samples - a minimum size of 4 x 2 mm would be required - there is not enough carbon present to allow them to be radiocarbon dated.

So it seems that this latest film has completely ignored the fact that the samples stolen by Görlitz and Erdmann were too small to be tested, and instead blames the archaeological community for refusing to look at the results because the samples were taken unofficially.

But how can M. Pouillard, after all his years of strenuous investigation, not know that there weren't any results ... ?
