If people are 'too afraid to ask questions' it may be because they are wary of triggering yet another orgy of vapid speculation. It's as if the discussions on the shafts, going back over one and a half years, never happened. The same questions and opinions continue to circulate, and will continue until objective data emerges.

I raised the question here a year or so ago. I wrote to Egyptological authorities and also joined the EFF where, with Alex Puchkov, a discussion took place on the question. There were many assertions, though no-one could direct me to any academic write up of Gantenbrink's claimed surveys, and the discussion petered out.. Yet the Egyptological consensus appears to favour him. If Petrie blundered at least amend the history books."

Is Egyptology actually science? In no other discipline would there be such a torrent of speculation on the basis of unchecked data. Yet such data surely exists, albeit that the Djedi team has declined to release it. Why not? This should be the target of your ire, not other forum members with their well-worn speculations.

Any discussion of the shafts really needs to focus on the alarming contradiction between Petrie's and Gantenbrink's data. Yet no Egyptologist will stand up and address this problem, as borne out by my enquiries.

These are the questions members of this forum should not be afraid to ask if they have any genuine interest in the Khufu shafts.
