But the temples have been studied as to precise measurements, and there is nothing there to suggest any hidden meaning. The only purpose of the temple is to provide a home for the manifestation of the god within the statue held in the shrine in the holy of holies. The purpose of the decoration of the walls is primarily to have the temple ritual permanently enacted, and some propaganda for the king who had the temple built, or who "usurped" it later. To the AE, that a temple such as Edfu or the Seti I temple at Abydos is in good condition with it's ritual still existing on it's walls, will mean that the ritual is still being performed even until this day, by magic. And as I have already stated, the layout of the temple is to provide an ever decreasing series of spaces to fit with their religous views on how a god should be hidden. I think you are missing the wood for the trees and reading far far to much into all of this.
