The name is not a real Roman personal name, just a construction based on their word for raven, corvus, and our modern use of the term corvidae to denote members of the "crow family". The female equivalent would be Corvidia, as there is Julius and Julia.
Anyhoo, you will notice that in my post with a list of topics I did not once mention anything to do with Giza, and why should I, as despite it looming large, both physically and in the liturature, it is just one topic among very many. You may not care what colour clothes people wore, mostly white btw, but if you do not have some grounding in at least the basics of their civilization, you, or anybody, cannot hope to properly, as much as it's possible, understand Giza. This obsession with Giza, and in many cases, utter contempt for the many thousands of years of AE history and the many millions of it's inhabitants, is a very serious fault with the so called "alts".
You know, I have a reasonable amount of knowledge on some AE subjects, less so on others, but one of the reasons I can get my head around the complexities of Amarna and religion as a whole, is that I know at least something about the other subjects, say, the influence and depiction of birds, which allowed me to make some observations about "Atenism" which otherwise would have passed me by. Likewise looking into the new subject of why the AE wrapped and hid things from sight gives new insights. Harry Burton photographed the statues found in small shrines in KV62 as they were first discovered, wrapped, the same as the two large "guardian" statues. They were then all unwrapped with no thought that the wrapping was anything than just wrapping, as we might for phyisical protection, but it was not, and had important religious reasons for the AE.
Now I hope this is not too boring, but what I am saying is that nobody can obsess on one AE subject and hope to get a full understanding without seeing a wider picture. G1 does not exist in a vacuum, yet to the "alts" it does, and so condemns them to make huge errors, if any of them are actually serious about their own work, which has to be doubted. So, while the color of their clothes may well not be that important, it's all part of the big picture which helps us to understand the more tricky areas, like Amarna.
