You may have bowed out of the discussion, but I'm sure you will still read it. So, I'll ask why it is that you have not addressed a single point that I have made in several pertinent and informative posts. You have not addressed the issue of them needing to be moved, and in what manner. From your posts I can discern nothing of your position other than your distaste for the parade, dislike of Egyptology and that your knowledge of their religious beliefs and funeral rites from death to the sealing of the tomb needs refreshing, and you could perhaps look into why they wrapped and hid things, which did not have the primary function of hiding from robbers, but that gods, including dead kings, should be hidden from view. And I'll add to Hans pointing out al-Qurn, that the temple of Hatshepsut is a huge beacon to the necropolis, which sits behind the ridge that the temple is built into.
