I made another post that explains my position, and I'll let that stand.
However, would you think that they would prefer to be in a cache, unknown and unprotected, or to be somewhere where they are protected and known. The embalmers did awful and very disrespectful things to bodies, and would be ritually stoned for their pains. As I pointed out in a previous post, it was inevitable that the two caches would be found eventually, and it is their good fortune that the circumstances were as they were, and that they were not found by unscrupulous people who would have ripped them to shreds, some for the second or third time, and burnt or scattered their remains. Ramesses XI, and a few others, Herihor for one, are still out there, and I would agree that let them sleep undisturbed. But if they get found during a time of troubles, such as the "revolution" and then Morsi, or worse, they are more likely than not to be robbed and all the treasure dissapear, and their mummies destroyed, in fact they would suffer the same fate as all kings of the OK and MK, total oblivion. And yes, in times of troubles museums can, and have, been ransacked, but we have what we have.
