25 years ago computers seemed easier to operate, albeit that the wretched windows kept breaking down and often things were incompatible. At any rate at that time I was able to install javascript and also the CAD viewer required to view Gantenbrink's cyberfiles without issue. Now trying to install javascript is something of a headache - a highly convoluted process is now required to get javascript working. And if this is not enough, the CAD viewer site to which one is directed now has a variety of packages to buy, but which one.
Well my weed-grown brain doesn't help. Gantenbrink gives the format of the CAD files so perhaps there's another way to extract them. When I can arrange to meet my computer guru he should be able to sort things out pretty easily, but he is presently involved in a large project (actually redesigning systems for local councils) and I wouldn't want to impose upon him at the moment.

It seems we are blocked at every turn. Replies from the Egyptology community seem to have dried up. All we have is a raft of opinions.
So I ask myself - is this science? I am only asking for hard survey data which is the first step in any archaeological investigation as everyone knows. Instead I find myself in a Kafkaesque situation.

We are dealing with Khufu's pyramid, universally acknowledged as the greatest monument from the past . Any new finding, for example the recent supposed discovery of chambers above the Grand Gallery, is immediately picked up by the media around the world. But a simple question about survey data is ignored.

This is not a religious dispute, nor is its subject merely of minor importance. So what gives? Other members of this forum may themselves have little interest in Khufu's pyramid but one might think that on principle they would agree that this apparent mess needs to be sorted out, or even help us. We only want the 'stone built truth' whichever way things go.

Regarding Tallet. I am surprised if other Egyptologists have not severely criticised his figures. The majority of scholars who have studied Egyptian chronologies disagree on detail but are unanimous that Khufu was built in the 26th century BC (as your tables show). Perhaps this is another avenue to follow up?

It looks like we'll have to press on and write even more letters, even though replies so far contain no useful information and repeat notions scholars have apparently picked up without checking. One day the truth will come out.
