I have mentioned this before but never got a satisfactory answer. In all outdoor"carvings" the only flaking ever seen is just a very thin layer and underneath is perfectly smooth. It almost appears that a coating was put on the finished column and then perhaps while it was still workable the designs were put on. And speaking of the columns have they ever been precisely measured for if they were ever found to be exact it would have to prove ancient machining and if the"carvings" were to turn out to be exact then it might prove a stencil was used. This is one of many examples. Doesn't look like recent patching to me
And the columns are said to be 23 meters high by 10 meters in circumference but that means nothing.
Doing the math we find that the height of the columns are about 1/10 of the base of The Great Pyramid at about 905.5 inches or about 43.914 cubits. If we use 9068.4 (average) we get 906.84 x 0.0254 = 23.034 meters Wonder why they chose this height. Circumference = about 10 meters or 19.09315 cubits. ... 60/Pi = 19.0986
My guess is height of columns is 44 cubits . The big question is why
Again if all the columns are exact they could not have been carved ... a lathe of some description must have been used
