First of all we know that Lehner reffers to M&R measuements of the base of G3 which diverge in regards to Petrie's survey. Petrie was not able to measure one side of the pyramid.
On page 114 Romer writes:

Any map is good enough to suggest that a correlation like that of Orion is wrong but not all maps are appropriate to show how accurate a pyramid theory - like in the case of the mountain theory is.
