In this article a distorted map is used. In Romer's book a map is used based on Lehner(1985) and Hawass(1996). If this map is used it doesn't seem that you need to shift southward the Menkaure pyramid. If you do then the modification will only be minimal. It will be good to have better accuracy but right now the map in question is pretty accurate and at the same time more accurate than Petrie's survey. By the way Romer's book was published 5 years before the 2012 survey. Go figure...
