and review my second crime fiction novel, *Hingston: Smoke
and Mispers*. Set in 2012, and inspired by the Harem
Conspiracy and Ancient Egyptian magical practice, Detective
Sergeant Hingston and the Murder Squad discover the magic
of London to be dark, deceptive and murderous. Recognisable
locations include the Petrie Museum, the Fitzwilliam Museum
and the British Museum's public gallery and Study Room of
the Department of Ancient Egypt and Sudan.
