A giant replica of Noah's Ark detained after it was deemed unseaworthy has left a town after 20 months.

The 70m-long (230ft) ship, which was transformed into a floating museum, arrived in Ipswich in 2019.

It was only meant to stay for three months but remained at the Suffolk waterfront after being held under maritime laws.

The Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) said it was not safe to leave due to "deficiencies".
