Benjamin Foster (Yale University) will present a lecture titled "The
Borrowed Muse: Translating Ancient Mesopotamian Texts" on Friday,
March 29 at 11 a.m. in the Italian Academy's 5th floor conference
room.

Professor Foster will discuss aspects of theory and practice of
translation in antiquity, and how they relate to the challenge of
translating texts from extinct cultural traditions.
