Maragioglio and Rinaldi (L.Architettura III, p. 130) state in regard to the Red Pyramid that "Perring says that this chamber (i.e., the second chamber) is exactly under the apex of the pyramid".
Perhaps I have somehow missed it, but I have not found where this finding is specifically stated in either "Operations Carried On" or in "Survey and Admeasurement". I have supposed that M&R (and others) have assumed this to have been Perring's finding solely from the sketches of the pyramid that he included in both of these works.
I do not have a complete copy of the two volumes of "Operations" presently at hand, can anyone tell me if Perring's finding for the center of the pyramid is anywhere mentioned in the text?
