Saw this paper posted elsewhere on the Internet. It is an interesting paper
because it has direct evidence as to whether PaleoIndians were around to
witness any of the Columbia River megafloods. It describes and discusses
the implications of a Clovis Site discovered within loess that blankets
megaflood deposits, Pangborn bar, along the Columbia River. Dr. Waitt
concludes: "Clovis people came five and a half millennia after the early
gigantic Missoula floods, two and a half millennia after the last small
Missoula flood, and two millennia after the glacial Lake Columbia flood."
