Depends how you view things, Really speaking the XVIII dynasty died out with Tut-Ankh-Amun,as the last of the Royal line.
Probaly Ay should of been the First King of the XIX dynasty, had he not been expunged from the records.
ALthough, you could argue this further and say that the Both Ay and Hormeheb could of been a dynasty on their own, neither had blood heirs; thus making Ramesses I , the first King of the XXIst dynasty, but who wants to change things now. We already had enough of pot-stirring by Rohl.
